I don’t know how the rest of you manage to talk and still play with any facility…I have not yet learned this level of multitasking. But even in perfect silence I manage to do something incredibly stupid. (Maybe I was still giddy from my earlier first Adventure-mode encounter with a jetpack.)

Rewatching this, I see so many lost opportunities it’s killing me. In the last room, I could have grabbed the golden head and then climbed the wall on the left, correct? This is the first time I’ve had climbing gloves in a DC and probably only the second time I’ve had them at all, so a lot of things didn’t occur to me.

You had plenty of ropes to take the head too if you wanted. The risk you run is that the boulder smashes through a shop and angers the shopkeepers for the rest of the game. I usually pass it up since there are so many ways to make money.

That dark level was pretty brutal.

Marc – totally unrelated question – what area do you rescue the Skyrim guy from?

For a while, the graveyards with hopping vampires had caskets in them. He came out of one of them–as have my handful of other unlocks. I haven’t seen any for a while. Not sure if taking shortcuts eliminates the possibility, or if I simply won’t see any more until I get deeper into the ice area.

Skyrim guy shows up in the flooded jungle level in adventure mode. Whether they appear or not during a particular playthrough seems to be random – I’ve played ~80 hours and I’m still missing Cyan.
